March was a hectic month full of visiting schools and doing author talks. April is busy, too, as I’m working on the end of the Flynn series AND my first ever book for adults is coming out in May.
I’m enjoying writing – as I always do – but I’m missing meeting readers! Here’s a pic from my recent visit to Tormead School in Guildford where I was made very welcome and had a great time. A special hello to everyone I met there.
Just back from tour. Thanks to everyone I met at Manchester High, AAGS, Baines, Accrington, Canon Slade, Prince Henry’s and St Peters Schools – and to Leeds FCBG and all the booksellers who came along to the events. Here I am ‘parking’ at St Peters…
About to head off on tour to promote the paperback of Missing Me. Over the next few days, I’ll be visiting schools in Manchester, Bolton, Blackpool and York. AND doing a public book-signing at Waterstones York next Thursday – 21 Mar 2013 – at 4pm. Hope to see some of you there!
Here I am, signing books at Francis Holland School on World Book Day. Thanks to everyone there for a great visit!
Great news! Sister, Missing is on the Doncaster Book Award shortlist. What with Girl, Missing on sale at Waterstones for £1 and Missing, Me about to come out in paperback, I’m delighted the middle sister of the Missing family is getting a look in this month as well…
Thanks to Wimbledon Book Festival for a great day visiting two brilliant schools – Ursuline and Wimbledon High. And thanks to the staff and girls at both schools for making me so welcome!!!
… in Mizz magazine. They’ve done a great profile of me, with all sorts of info about how and where and why I write! The article is called: ‘Yes! This is my job.’ And its in the current issue of Mizz.
Exciting news!!!! Hit Squad, from The Medusa Project series has just won the older readers category for the national Red House Children’s Book Award. I am so thrilled that a Medusa book has been honoured in this way. The RHCBA is a really special one, because all the votes are cast by actual readers of the books. Thanks to everyone who voted!!!!
